Teneriffe Festival raises fashion stakes

Expect to see pop up shops, style workshops, runway shows and more at the 2014 Teneriffe Festival.

Attention fashion lovers, have you been eagerly waiting for the next fashion thing in Brisbane?
Well, this July 5, get dressed to the nines and head to Ethel Street as the 2014 Teneriffe Festival will see the introduction of the Emerge Australia Fashion Precinct. It is an all day fashion precinct where Ethel Street will transform with pop-up shops, a Vogue Nationale pamper station, style workshops, market stalls, fondue fountains and more.
Expect to see names like Oki & Oro, Colin Heaney, Princess Polly, Foley & Keane, Stone & Metal, Vogue Nationale, Tengdahl, Atelier Australia, Maiocchi, Sunny Jim and many more, as well as Brisbane’s best emerging designers and Avant Garde stylists – all in one place on one day.
From left: Colin Heaney, Stone & Metal, Princess Polly and Foley & Keane will be at the Teneriffe Festival this July 5.

There will also be sustainable styling sessions built into the series of runways as local sustainable designers and stylists will have 30 minutes to creatively piece together an outfit from scratch, using their kits of recycled and repurposed fabrics and tools.
Beauty addicts, there will be hair and make-up professionals from local businesses along the runway in front of the crowd who will creatively style their model in an avant-garde and inventive way.
With demos, seven runway shows highlighting unique designers and renowned boutiques, style connoisseurs will have much to look forward to at the 2014 Teneriffe Festival.
From left: Tengdahl, Hoskin Design and Toscani will also be at the festival.

While entry to the fashion precinct is free of charge, patrons have the opportunity to purchase exclusively reserved VIP tables or seats closer to the action.
For those who would like to watch their favourite designers and boutiques from the runway side, enjoy private access to the VIP bar, a gift bag, designer and boutique prizes, mingle with fashion industry insiders and enjoy all seven shows, you can secure a Gold VIP table package.
If you’re a fashion fanatic and want a front row view to just one of the seven shows, you can choose to get the Silver VIP ticket. Limited tickets can be purchased via brisbanetickets.com.au. The runway schedule can be found at http://www.teneriffefestival.org/fashion/.
Last year, the Teneriffe Festival saw more than 50,000 guests through its gates. Now in its fifth year, the festival celebrates the suburb’s rich history and current lifestyle appeal.
The 2014 festival, supported by BOQ New Farm will be a colourful mix of old and new, surrounded by the charming historical wool stores on the banks of the Brisbane River. See you there.
